Teesside Netball League Rules
- All matches will be played under the A.E.N.A. rule
- All players must wear the correct clothing before taking the court.
- No jewellery to be worn at all. No false eyelashes, nails or hard hair accessories to be worn.
- Each team must have a set of bibs and a ball.
- Points will be awarded: win 4: draw 2: lose with more than half opponents score, take a point off opposition.
- The league committee will run the league.
- Clubs found to be breaking any of the league rules shall be liable to lose the points for that match.
- Further breaches of the rules could mean their disqualification from the league.
- Any complaints must be made in writing to the league sec. immediately after the match.
- It is recommended that the same umpires umpire the whole match unless ill or injured.
- In the case of two or more teams tying for first place in the league, goal difference shall decide the winner.
- In the event of goal difference being the same, the team who has scored the most goals shall be deemed the winner.
- Any team not on court at the time stated in the fixtures with at least five players shall forfeit the points for that match to their opponents.
- Pregnant ladies shall NOT play in Teesside Netball League matches.
- Clubs can not re-arrange league fixtures unless either the hall is not available or extreme weather conditions mean that the teams are unable to make the venue. This will be at the discretion of the league secretary.
- Any team leaving the league while the season is still running is liable to pay the remaining pitch fees and those of their opponents
- Abuse and intimidation of umpires or any league official will not be tolerated. If this is the case the perpetraitor will be asked to leave the building and the league will follow up with an outcome.
